Life Groups

Life Groups are where discipleship happens. Jesus told us to "go therefore and make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19). We believe "making disciples" is more than conversion but, rather, involves a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus. It is not a destination (or program to complete). It's learning to walk by faith in the direction of Jesus.

What to Expect
How many people are in a life group?
We have groups of varying size, but most range from 5-10. Couples groups might have 6-8 couples.

How do you determine which group i will be placed in?
Groups are based on your availability and proximity as well as gender and age. Some groups are specifically designed for women, men, young adults, etc.

- Youth Group (grades 6-12)

How long do life groups stay together?
Our desire is for you to grow spiritually both individually and with God's family. God designed us to live and thrive within loving accountable relationships (Ephesians 4:11-16). To this end, our groups typically multiply into another group within 2 to 3 years. The hope is our current leaders would mentor someone within the current group to go and lead another group.
What takes place at a life group?
Life groups are where discipleship happens. There is a time for fellowship (food, prayer and fun) but, more importantly, these biblical gatherings are specifically designed to obey Jesus' command to make disciples (Matthew 28:19). You will learn to love Jesus by studying His Word, build loving and accountable relationships with your church family, and be prepared to bring joy to your community.
Do you offer childcare?
We aim to make life groups accessible to everyone. A specific life group may decide to include childcare. If so, it is up to that group to provide/coordinate that childcare.
What if i feel intimated by studying or talking about the bible?
Life groups are a safe place to ask questions and learn with others.
Do all life groups meet weekly?
Most meet weekly; however, some will meet with varying frequency. The life group leader will let you know the meeting schedule.
